Lately the bareness of our kitchen has been annoying me. Well, to be truthful, the bareness of the walls in our entire house has been bothering me lately. But today is about the kitchen.
When I scored the bookshelf from the consignment store last weekend, I also picked up a few framed images that were there. I fell in love with this quaint picture, and knew I had to have it.
I was a bit afraid that it might seem a bit christmas like (with the red walls) but when paired with these bowls from Williams-Sonoma I think that the picture is perfect.
This quilted piece was gifted to me by artist Ana Buzzalino when we worked together at a Quilting Arts TV taping a year or so ago. I am a huge fan of her work, and when I told her as much she gave me this small sample piece. I adore it, and am so happy it looks right at home over my stove top!
I love how with just a few small adjustments a house can seem more personal and homey. More on the other hanging I have been doing next week!
Have a great weekend
