Painting the Mudroom

We took a bit of a break from painting rooms in the house, until we could better decide what colors we wanted. The awful state of the paint job in the mudroom (it looks like it was dinged up a lot over time – normal for a mudroom I suppose!) finally got to me.

There were a lot of dings in the paint, and as you can see the wood was showing through the paint job as well.

I started out by painting over all of the trim. It was amazing how quickly the room started to come together! We decided to paint it a slightly lighter blue /gray color. I really like how it is so soft and inviting!

I love how this room turned out. The Mr. and I had a hard time getting ourselves to move anything back into the room it looked so pristine. My new goal is to start decorating this room and making it into a more functional and inviting mudroom, instead of using it as a glorified storage area like we have been lately.
