There is something very exciting about impending weather. On Thursday, all anyone was talking about was the snow blizzard that my neck of the woods is anticipating. I went to the hardware store, food store, and liquor store after work to stock up on the necessities. Although I have to still do my day job today, once the clock strikes 4:00pm I have a plan. By 4:00 we should be pretty much hunkered down with no where to go. I envision a glass of wine in hand, some cheese and crackers set out in front of me, the Mr. and animals at my side – all in front of a roaring fire. I can’t think of a better way to spend the night snowed in.
Tomorrow, however, I have a different version on being snowed in. It involves the paint I got from the hardware store, a few paint brushes, and the Mr. and I hard at work turning the mudroom disastrous paint job into something acceptable. It makes me cringe that the mudroom is the first room that people see when they walk into our house. Expect to see a lot of work in the mudroom soon!
