On Monday I was all bummed out because I had to work and the Mr. had the day off. I would have loved to have stayed home and hung around with him (we didn’t see much of each other this weekend; I was busy with this exciting new undertaking that I will be explaining about in mid-November), but I didn’t plan ahead and take off the day.
Anyway, while I was at my day job, pining away to be at home hanging with the Mr., he was busy taking care of a few things around the house. He took Cassie on a long walk, cleaned out the refrigerator and went food shopping, and hung the window shades (haha, get the title pun?) that we got for the remaining “naked” windows in our bedroom.
Before
I am most excited about this part. We live on a fairly busy main road, and the bedroom window overlooking the street hasn’t had a shade on it since we moved in. I used to be really careful about changing in the room and would make sure I was not in view of the window, but am embarrassed to say that I sort of forgot about this fact (heck, growing up my window didn’t look over anything but our backyard and the woods, so I am not used to this sort of thing!) and started changing wherever, totally oblivious to what I may or may not be inadvertently showing the world. That is until the other day and I was driving up to our house at night and realized how easy (or rather how hard it wasn’t) to look into the lit up bedroom window. Oops.
After
So long story short – shades in the windows have alleviated a lot of concern on my part. Best. Husband. Ever.
