Welcome Cassie!

The big thing that the Mr. and I did this weekend was pick up our new pup, Cassie! We found her when we went to Vermont last week, and instantly fell in love with her. We could barely talk about anything else all week! We have wanted to get a dog for quite a while, but every time we went to the shelters around MA we didn’t click with any particular dog. We both felt like Cassie was the dog for us when we met her.

She was rescued from Puerto Rico and brought up to Vermont by a rescue group. She is very skinny, very shy, and so far has been a little uncertain about her new home. But every once and a while she decides to come out and ask to be petted. We can tell that once she is out of her shell we are going to have a lot of fun with her! :)

Both the Mr. and I are excited to fatten her up a bit – right now when we pick her up we can feel every single one of her ribs. Our goal is to help her gain some weight (safely of course) and make a happy pup out of her. She is about 10 months old, and we were told to not expect her to grow much more.

Ringo hasn’t taken to Cassie as well as we had hoped (we think he got a little too used to being the only pet the house), but we are sure that with the proper introductions that they will become friends. Until then there is a lot of time juggling going on to make sure that both Ringo and Cassie are getting enough attention!
