Our second round of guests come this Monday. The fiancé and I are so excited for them to come, and we have been scrambling around trying to finish everything possible before they arrive. The fiancé has taken over “basement duty” and has tackled the dirty dusty finished basement that we previously were not using, and turned it into a great (and cool, since it is underground!) sleeping area. Once the guests have all gone, this room will become the fiancé’s domain, man cave if you will, and I think he is very excited about it.
We also did some work with my studio – transforming this area into another bedroom. It has an overhead fan, which will ensure that its occupants can stay at least a little bit cool in this heat!
We took the double bed that was in the guest room and moved it downstairs, and will be borrowing some extra beds from my parents and aunt and uncle. In the meantime the fiancé put together the bed frame of this bed.
Things are slowly coming together, and I am getting more optimistic that we will be able to fit everyone relatively comfortably!
