A New Bathroom Shelf

So I mentioned last week that I had found a killer deal at Lowes that I was over the moon about. The item that I found was similar to this guy. It was on sale for $9.99.  I literally couldn’t believe it, I asked a sales associate and she confirmed. I have been wanting something like this for the upstairs bathroom – you can see the temporary solution that we implemented here (which, if memory serves me right, cost the same amount as the new shelf did!).

The only color that was on sale was the Java, all the other ones were either in the mid-fifty dollar range, or still at full price. I decided to get the Java one (well there’s a no brainer there for you, haha) and planned to paint it to match my gray and white bathroom scheme.

I sanded it down so the paint would hold

After the first two coats it is looking good!

This is one of the projects that we are trying to get done in the next week before the first of the fiancé’s family gets here. We only have a week left – so excited!!
