A few weeks ago I painted some old furniture white and created my new vanity set, that now resides in the little nook of our room. The fiancé and I have been crazy busy with life as of late, so it took me until now to set up and organize the vanity to suit my needs. I still need to hang the mirror (I don’t trust Ringo to not knock it over until it is secure) but besides that I am up and running, and quite pleased with the results! I can’t wait to get ready in this little corner – I guess it must be the little girl in me who always loved to have “special spots”.
In order to organize the space, I grabbed the tray that used to reside in our kitchen and organized my favorite jewelry of the moment, my makeup, and a few odds and ends (with eyebrows like mine, tweezers always have to be readily available!). In order to keep the surface uncluttered, I utilized the pull out drawer to stash all of the larger/bulky/ excess items. I think I might look into getting some mini baskets for this pull out drawer, since I can see it quickly becoming a cluttered spot. I also am on the look out for a great way to display that store my jewelry. But for now I am enjoying the nook as it is!
And for those of you who know my love of Disney, you might take notice of my little stuffed Yeti Snow Monster from the ride Mount Everest. Gotta love Disney! (I can’t wait until we visit Disney on our Honeymoon!!!).
