I have a bunch of younger cousins, and while we were at the BFR they were excited to help my cousin Emily and I to bake some yummy desserts. The recipe I chose (which I first shared here) didn’t have any baking involved, but it was a lot of fun to make. Each kid had their own jobs, and they all did them eagerly and wonderfully. I was a little nervous about letting them help hollow out the strawberries, but in the end it worked out great. We had tons of fun making them, and as an added bonus they were delicious!
Cleaning the strawberries
Everyone helping out!
Emily made delicious lemon cheesecake bars – I didn’t get a picture, but they were yummy!
The tricky part of this recipe was cutting the centers out of the strawberries – the kids did great!
Finished product!
A few of the kids with their finished strawberries!
This has nothing to do with cooking, but I loved this picture too much not to share!
