Every year my mom’s side of the family does something pretty cool. We all pack our bags, venture off to some huge, rented house in New England (the place varies each year) and spend a long weekend at what we call the BFR. The BFR stands for the Bolton Family Reunion, and is something we take very seriously. There is a lot of food, drinks, activities, and laughs. Saturday is the official reunion day, and that is when we don our shirts (we get new ones every year with “BFR” and the date embroidered onto it), take a big family picture, and then have a delicious lobster/ steak dinner. The BFR is a highlight of our year, and this was the 29th BFR (yup – this tradition is older than me!). As I am sure you guessed, this past weekend was the BFR weekend. We spent it up in Maine at a beautiful house overlooking mountains. As usual it was a lot of fun, and I took lots of pictures. Here are a few of my favorite!
